Welcome to Avenida Borges de Medeiros, Gramado's main artery! Walking around here, you will find some of our main attractions. Walk looking to the sides, up, without haste and with curiosity.

You will find, for example, buildings with Bavarian architecture and steep roofs for dumping snow.

The long sidewalks are an invitation for this walk and there will be no shortage of places to rest or eat when the urge strikes. It's an open-air mall!



Our tip is to choose one of the ends and start your journey. It would not be an exaggeration to dedicate a whole day to this route.

On this graceful path, you will find the Palácio dos Festivais, Igreja São Pedro, Rua Torta, Praça Major Nicoletti and Lake Joaquina Rita Bier. There's more: the Fonte do Amor Eterno and Rua Coberta.

Ah, keep your sense of smell sharp because there are places to taste…

There is no lack of beauties on the way, such as Praça das Etnias, with a tasty combination of the history of the colonists and the food that their descendants produce and sell here.

In addition to being the most famous, it is also the oldest road in Gramado. Here the settlers built the first wooden buildings.

And in this return to the past, you can imagine how the natives lived in the middle of the last century: the residents themselves watered and took care of the flowers in the central bed of Borges de Medeiros. And the houses there had inviting garden benches in the open areas. The children ran without worries as the milkman drove his vehicle along the almost car-free avenue.

A lawn with less glamor but equally passionate!
